Experiencing these relics, items such as inkstones, and bamboo sculpture, and the significant roles that they played in creating other works and the parts they played in the history of man, Mr. Hung began an addiction that paved the path to the creation of the Foundation.
Chaoshou-type Tahoe inkstone Qing Dynasty
This Tahoe inkstone is from the river in the ancient Tah district (now Lin-tan County, Gangsu Province). It is in the style of Chaoshou, which means that you can use your hand to lift it from the bottom of the inkstone. This type of inkstone is very appreciated by scholars for its rarity and refinement. It is worthy to note that on the left side of the inksone, there is an inscription from a famous high-ranking official Wang You-duen (1692-1758AD). It shows that the inkstone is now not only a practical item but also an object for appreciation.
